INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO TECH MAHINDRA, HINJEWADI PUNE









On February 22, 2024, the Department of B.Voc Software Development arranged an industrial visit to Tech Mahindra Pune for the students of SY and TY B.Voc Software Development. 
Dr. Imran Baig Mirza, Mr. Farooque Shaikh, and Ms. Nikhat Hurzuk, accompanied by 46 students, embarked on this insightful journey skillfully overseen and coordinated by Ms. Nikhat Hurzuk, who demonstrated exceptional management throughout the entire experience.





Visit Highlights:

1. Warm Welcome by Team Manager Ms. Varsha Gaikwad:
   Upon our arrival at Tech Mahindra, Ms. Varsha Gaikwad, the Team Manager of Maker's Lab, extended a warm welcome to the students.






2. Introduction to Tech Mahindra:
   Ms. Varsha Gaikwad provided the students with an insightful overview of Tech Mahindra's operations, emphasizing its leading role in the IT industry and its dedication to innovation and excellence.






3. Exploration of Maker's Lab:
   The Maker's Lab focuses on AI and explores technologies like Machine Learning, Blockchain, IoT, Robots, Quantum Computing, and various frameworks. Projects showcased included a metaverse version of Union Bank of India and BHAML language, designed to simplify language for rural communities.





4. Interactive Sessions:
   Students engaged in discussions with Tech Mahindra professionals on emerging technologies, industry trends, and career opportunities in the IT sector.

Conclusion:
The industrial visit provided valuable exposure to real-world applications of software development and technology innovation. It will undoubtedly enrich students' academic knowledge and inspire them to pursue excellence in their field.

Educational Trip to Imagica Theme Park

 The Department of B.Voc Software Development at AKI’s Poona College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized an educational and recreational trip to Imagica Theme Park on 1st February 2025. The trip was conducted under the esteemed guidance and support of Dr. Iqbal N. Shaikh (Principal), Dr. Amjad Shaikh (Vice Principal), and Dr. Imran Baig Mirza (Coordinator, B.Voc Software Development).   Report on Orientation Session for Free CSR-Funded Certification Program by Quantum Learning    The Department of B.Voc. in Software Development  at Poona College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized an Orientation Session on the Free CSR-Funded Certification Program by Quantum Learning  on February 21, 2025, from 10:30 AM onwards.
